atis x Made in Hackney // Supporting Made In Hackney’s work
SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY
In January we partnered with Made in Hackney, a plant-based community kitchen and charity based near our flagship store in Old Street. We teamed up with ManiLife to create a special bowl, with £1 from every bowl sold being donated to Made in Hackney at the end of the month.
This was a huge success and we were thrilled to be able to support their incredible work within our community, however, we wanted to take it one step further and help where they need it most…
With 1200 mouths to feed each week, our team will be switching their atis aprons for Made in Hackney overalls, and volunteering every month in their Hoxton based kitchen. The team will be helping to prep the fresh meals which will then be collected and delivered to the community by bike in the evening.
We are thrilled to be able to work with Made in Hackney on an ongoing basis, and the team have been loving throwing themselves into the kitchen prep and working alongside the talented Made in Hackney chefs.
Our store managers Vandre and Glieber particularly enjoyed making Feijoda, a Brazilian stew, this month. You can tell from their smiles that they enjoyed their time with the team!
